Terms of service

Effective date: [Effective date]

Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] (“we”), which operates RoleQuest. [Who may use the service, minimum age, and how these terms are accepted.]

The service

RoleQuest is an AI apply agent: it fills in and submits job applications for you in your own Chrome, through a browser extension.

You choose the roles; RoleQuest works on up to five jobs per run, in its own browser tab.

RoleQuest tailors a résumé to each job from experience you've verified.

RoleQuest keeps a full transcript of every run and a pipeline of every application.

Your account

You sign in with an email address and password, an emailed one-time link, or Google. You are responsible for activity on your account. [Account security and suspension terms.]

Modes and submissions

RoleQuest has two modes: one asks before every submission, one submits without asking.

In ask-first mode, the agent asks before every submission. In submit-without-asking mode, it submits without asking you, and you read what it sent in the transcript afterwards. You choose the mode, and you choose the jobs.

Captchas, logins and two-factor authentication

RoleQuest always hands captchas, logins and two-factor authentication back to you.

RoleQuest never reads password, payment or one-time-code fields.

Your responsibilities

  • The experience in your résumé is yours to keep accurate. The agent tailors from experience you’ve verified.
  • Sites set their own terms, and some prohibit automation tools. Check the terms of any site you apply through.
  • Running in your own browser does not exempt anyone from a site’s terms.
  • [Acceptable use terms.]

No promised outcomes

We don’t promise interviews, offers or any result from an application. We don’t promise that they can’t. Each employer runs its own review process. [Warranty disclaimer to be written after legal review.]

Plans and payment

Paid plans are described on the pricing page. Stripe processes payments. [Billing, renewal, cancellation and refund terms.]

Liability

[Limitation of liability and indemnity, to be written after legal review.]

Governing law

[Governing law and jurisdiction.]

Changes and contact

[How we tell you about changes to these terms.] Questions: [Contact email]. See also the privacy policy (draft).
